Their unique properties provide the longest lasting and most consistent performance for applications where non-stick Release, Friction Control, Insulation Dielectric Control or Barrier Protection is a challenge.
These are composites combining mechanical properties of glass or aramid fabrics with non-stick properties of PTFE. Manufactured from a wide range of fabrics styles such as plain; satin; leno; with different yarns counts; they are coated to different PTFE levels – from 15% for porous and up to 85% for heavily coated products.

These combine the barrier properties of the most advanced, void-free, multilayer fluoropolymer films with fabric reinforcement.
The film layer ensures a more consistent PTFE thickness across the full texture of fabrics and the pin hole free surface provides higher non-stick performance. This results in lifetime being 2 to 5 times longer as compared with standard PTFE fabrics, especially in applications that involve high temperatures, aggressive ingredients such as hot oils, chemicals or molten polymers and also sometimes involving mechanical strain.
With their ability to withstand high temperatures, and their gas tight film barrier properties, CHEMFAB® PTFE laminates are also used for the chemically challenging environmental protection and energy applications.
These are highly conformable materials that have exceptional dimensional stability of glass fabrics and silicone temperature resistance up to 260°C (500°F).
Its surface can be both non-stick and non-slip, and can be tailored to offer a range of slip resistance. This property provides crucial for applications such as vertical and horizontal bread toasting.
